Kris and I are Air Force veterans who met while serving overseas. He's from Michigan and I'm from Maine.   We've had pretty traditional professional careers after separating from the military.  Kris works in IT and I have an HR Consulting firm. 

Kris and I have always enjoyed arts and crafts.  While we were overseas Kris and I had side jobs on base, where he learned his master wood working skills.  Over the years, and through our many travels, we continued trying new hobbies:  gardening, chicken tendering, scrapbooking, photography and painting.  Upcoming pursuits include launching an online business, learning to play guitar and  writing a book.

We consider ourselves life-long learners and the idea of starting where you are really speaks to us.  You're never going to perfect, so rather than give up and quit, accept that everything is a process and there is always a lesson.  A lesson in patience.  A lesson in gratitude.  A lesson in forgiveness.  This is our journey . . . maybe it will inspire you, maybe it will make you laugh, maybe it will be what you need to take that next step forward.
